Her full name is Elin Maria Pernilla Nordegren and she was born January 1, 1980 in Stockholm, Sweden. She and hew twin sister Josephin Nordegren grew up in Waxholm (a coastal town outside Stockholm).

Elin and Tiger met during the British Open last summer while she and Josefin were working as nannies for Swedish golf pro Jesper Parnevik's four children. Parnevik's kids are named after things near and dear to him in golf: (keep in mind that his father is Sweden's most famous comedian).
